In the year 2020, Good Friday will be celebrated on 10 April. On Good Friday, Jesus Christ was hung on the cross. About two thousand years ago, the Great God Jesus sacrificed himself on Mount Calvary outside the ancient city of Jerusalem. Jesus was crowned with thorns. They were brutally beaten with whips. On thirst, utensils were hung on one end of the sticks and carried to their lips. He was despised. Nails were put on the cross with hands and feet. In this way, such a great man of the world was tortured so much. But, Jesus continued to smile even in ridicule and suffering. He did not call anyone a misdemeanor, did not give any kind of curse to anyone. While on the cross, he said this much to his oppressors, "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing."
This sacrifice of Jesus is considered the most serious in Christianity. On this day, mourning is held from the largest church of Christians 'St. Peters' to small churches. Christian priests wear mourning dresses. Soldiers move inverted arms. Jesus died at about three o'clock in the day, so Christians around the world worship at that time. In remembrance of this event, Christians all over the world celebrate this festival with great love and reverence.
Jesus took the sin of the whole world on his himself and he sacrificed for his rectification. That is why his sacrifice-day - Good Friday - has become a great sacrifice anniversary not only for Christians, but for the entire human race.
