It is considered beneficial to have Vastu Shanti before entering the house, after which you can get rid of any type of Vastu defects. But there are some rules and principles for making home peace, which can be ignored only under special circumstances.
Havan of home peace is not fruitful without seeing the planetary constellation or ignoring the auspicious time. For this it is very important to see auspicious constellations, days and times. The auspicious constellations for home peace are: Ashwini, Punavasu, Pushya, Hasta, Uttara Phalguni, Uttarashada, Uttara Bhadrapada, Rohini, Revathi, Shravan, Dhanishtha, Shatabhisha, Swati, Anuradha and Magha.
Apart from this, the auspicious days for making home peace are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the auspicious dates are Dwitiya, Tritiya, Panchami, Saptami, Dashmi, Ekadashi, Dwadashi and Trayodashi of Shuklapaksha.
Worship materials- Kalash, coconut, pure water, kumkum, rice, perfume made of musk, sandalwood, rose and saffron, gulal, Incense sticks, five auspicious items, mango or Asoka leaves, yellow turmeric, jaggery, rice, milk etc. .
You should enter any auspicious time in the house. One should enter the new house in the sunlight with auspicious Kalash.
The house should be decorated with flowers, Rangoli, flowers. Fill pure water in auspicious Kalash (urn) and place coconut among eight leaves of Mango or Ashoka in it. Make a swastika symbol with kumkum on urn and coconut. At the time of entering the new house, the owner of the house and the mistress should enter the new house with five auspicious items coconut, yellow turmeric, jaggery, rice, milk with them. The idol of Lord Ganesha, the conch, Shri Yantra should be taken home on the day of entry. Must enter new house with auspicious songs. Kalash Sthapna : After entering the house with the Kalash, chanting Mantras of Lord Ganapati and put it in the north-east corner of the house (where the north-east direction meets) or in the temple of the house. Kalash should be kept with some rice and set them.
Kitchen Worship : Swastika signs should be made in the kitchen by worshiping with gas stove, place of water and incense instead of store, lamp with kumkum, turmeric, rice etc. Jaggery and green vegetables should be kept in the kitchen on the first day. Milk should be boiled on the stove. One should make sweets and offer it as an offering. Home-made food should be offered to God first. Take out food for cow, crow, dog, ant etc. Offer food to a Brahmin.
